Becoming a Homestay Host
Sharing Our Cultures
Hosting a young international student gives you a unique opportunity to share your Australian way of life. You have a wonderful chance to understand your student’s culture and traditions through their interaction with you, whether it is sharing food together or discussing our differences in everyday life. Hosting enables you to have a greater understanding and appreciation of international cultures and values.
Seeing your student progress with their English and sharing their journey with you often finds the families building wonderful memories that last a lifetime. Some host families have the opportunity to visit their former student and family if travelling to the student’s home country.
